Then this one may please you!

First it was just another substyle, but finally i decided to release it separately, because there are so much changes, which give the theme a new appearance:

-new Aeroborders with softer Shadow
-new Adressbar and Searchbar
-new (highlighted) Pushbuttons and ComboBox
-new ListItems (which i like the most)
-new Progressbars


Please note before applying:

This Visual-Style is designed to work properly only with
Artur89SD's Shell32-mod "PreviewPane above Folderband"

Again with DLL-mods for ControlPanel-dll's in the download file

The Games Folder (works without further modification, just replace Gameux.dll from link above for TopShell-Layout)

and - ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED USERS - the PreviewPanes in Control-Panel Folders
-Appwiz (installed Programs)
-Device Center
-Fonts

for activating them, replace the txt-files in Artur89SD's Files with the new ones, which are in the download-file.

Use at your own risk!!

The DLL-Files will still work later on with any other theme, and theme works without modified dll's, just the Shellpane-variation is lower

At last you'll get 7 different Panes (with not shown Save-Dialog Pane), but still slim File-Size of the Theme!!

Explorerframe for Browsebuttons included.
(Firedance Evolution Users don't need to change)

Startbutton from Panda-X is not included.

TO INSTALL: Extract the folder on your Desktop, right click the *.inf file (Obsidian.inf) on the file and select "Install", the files on your Desktop can be deleted after the installation.

TO USE: Start Menu > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers > Obsidian on the dropdown box. I recommend you to disable shadows, because the cursors already has shadows.

UPCOMING: Smaller version of the cursors

This cursor set was originally made for Linux by Eric Matthews

I just ported them to the Windows .cur/.ani format

This theme can be installed WITHOUT CursorXP and can be installed on almost any version of Windows

NOTE: The difference between this and the other versions of this theme is that it doesn't need CursorXP to work, had the size fixed and use the correct cursor images.

Arsenic visual style for WindowBlinds 7

This visual style is for Windows 7 only, it will work on Vista
too as they are very similar but it won't work right on XP,
as I told before, I no longer support XP in my personal works.

There's two substyles:

* Arsenic - dark style that is better for dark rooms or night time.

* Arsenic (light) - better for lighter rooms and day time.


The Wallpaper:

If you want the wallpaper, it's located inside the skin too,
after install the visual style, go to:

"C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds\ Arsenic"

look for the file called "Arsenic HD.jpg", it's a 1920x1200 file,
set it to "tile" and may cover all screen resolutions.


I hope you enjoy the visual style.

This is actually a small package, not only the VS. So the download size is more than 25mb.

* To use the theme:
1. Patch your UXTHEME files
2. Copy "Themes" to your Windows directory
3. Right click on Desktop > Personalize > chose Vista Aero or Vista Basic.

* To get the Vista Sidebar:
1. Take Ownership of your "Windows Sidebar" in"Prgs Files"
2. Rename it to something like "7 Sidebar"
3. Copy my "Windows Sidebar" to "Prgs Files" directory
4. Right click on Desktop > Gadgets or run sidebar.exe.

* To get the logon screen ,the vista aurora shellstyle, vista about dialog, vista system properties:
NOTE: This require Win7x86 RTM. Don't follow this guide if you're using x64.
1. Take ownership of "imageres.dll","shell32.dll" and all files in "Branding" folder in "System32", "explorer.exe" in "Windows"
2. Rename and back it up.
3. Copy all files in "Win7_x86_7600 Resources" to "Windows".
4. Restart your PC.

* You can also get Windows Media Player 11 work on Windows 7. Goi to askvg.com to get that.

The Wait Is Over

X2 Crystal was a experiment visual style I was working on the side of other development and it turned into a very usable and pretty on the eyes kinda skin. As it is still in beta there are some things that need refined and just all together changed, things can only get changed if you let me know. How To Install:
  • (If your computer is not patched) Run the Universal Theme Patcher IN ADMINISTRATOR MODE (right-click –> “Run as administrator”), UAC must be turned off. After patching, restart computer to take effect (Patch is located in System Files\Uxtheme Patch)
  • Extract X2 Crystal folder and X2 Crystal.theme to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes and double-clic on X2 Crystal.theme
  • To install the back and forward buttons and the picture frame in the startmenu you need to have the “Take Ownership Command” once you have that, take ownership of explorer.exe (Located in C:\Windows) and rename it to explorer.Windows7.exe and then take ownership of ExplorerFrame.dll (Located in C:\Windows\System32) and rename it to ExplorerFrame.Windows7.exe and then replace each system file with the one downloaded.

couldnt wait any longer. reaally wanted to show you what i've done. im already fixing the Maximized windows; so you wont like full screen explorer yet..
Dont press the Maximize button on firefox, because it disables Aero on that window.

how to use:

- double click the .wba file.
- open windowblinds 7 or 6
- press settings and go to per application
- add firefox.exe and explorer.exe
- now double click explorer.exe and select 'use specified skin' in the drop down box.
- press select skin and select Strata [40]
- in the left corner of that window choose Strata ??
- do the same for Firefox but slect Firefox in that dropdown box.

apply the strata40 style ( select the windows substyle in the '3 styles' tab)

Reboot and enjoy!

Collection of My Computer icons, png files and a psd layered comp file. Used to change every monitor icon in WinXP to have some continuity of my computer icons.

The icons were made specifically for winXP so come in 48x48, 32x32,24x24 and 16x16. PNG are 256x256. Also includes the psd file I made to make the various layers.

Original PC icon from www.vistaico.com, other bits and pieces sourced from here, there and everywhere.

I only take small credit, if any, for assembling the bits and pieces to my liking in the psd file.

  • Copy all the items in the folder 'Theme' to c:Windows\Resources\Themes
  • Then, right-click on the desktop & choose 'Personalize'
  • Choose the 'Flure' theme in the 'Installed Themes' section.

Right-click, take ownership for the original system files.For the explorer, just copy it into the folder windows & the others just copy them into the system32 folder.
Then,restart your computer.

What was I thinking? Off course most of my gadgets didn't work anymore on the new OS of Microsoft. So in januari 2009 operation recode and redesign started. Since Microsoft changed some things on how the sidebar now handles the gadgets I saw some oportunities to create some new variants of existing gadgets. The good thing about the new interface is that we actually cannot talk of a sidebar anymore as every side of your screen (top, bottom, left or right) can be used to ‘dock’ your gadgets. This is where I thought that the gadgets where a lot of stuf was bundled on (like disk monitor where the gadget monitorred 3 drives at a time) could use a change. As we have a lot of space to use now, some new variants were created from the old ones. Onedrive, Upbar and Downbar gadget are an example of this. As the older gadget would have all of the info bundelled on one gadget, you now can set more gadgets on your desktop to obtain the same ‘intel’.

The new design of the gadgets is based on the new taskbar of Windows 7 which is flat styled and so are the new gadgets. Their color is black and now everybody is going to say : ‘ooh no not black again’. Well everybody saying that is wrong. The reason for that is the combination of the gadgets flat style and the abillity to adjust its opacity levels.

The opacity levels can be set by rightclicking on the gadget. So like a chameleon these gadgets will love any kind of wallpaper you put on your desktop, nomather what color it has.

Wel hier zijn ze dan, de Windows 7 versie van mijn gadgets. Deze werken dus gegarandeert op Windows 7 build 7000 en zijn eveneens compatibel met Vista. Van de oudere versies van mijn gadgets werkt het merendeel niet op Windows 7 en zij die wel werken vallen ferm uit de toon door hun grafisch ontwerp.

Deze gadgets hebben een vlakke stijl en als je hun 'opacity' op 60% zet dan nestelen ze zich als een ware een kameleon op uw bureaublad achtergrond. Vandaar dat ze van elke wallpaper houden, ongeacht zijn kleur.

Windows 7 daarintegen bied voor de gadgets ook een aantal nieuwe voordelen. Zo kan nu elke zijkant van uw bureaublad gebruikt worden om uw gadgets tegenaan te docken. Meer plaats dus. Op Vista kon je de gadgets ook op uw desktop plaatsen maar deze bleven nooit op hun plaats staan. Na x aantal keer te rebooten stonden ze al een paar cm verwijdert van hun originele posities. Met Windows 7 is dit euvel opgelost. Doordat we nu meer plaats hebben heb ik een aantal nieuwe varianten van bepaalde gadgets gemaakt. Zo zit er nu in het pakket een drive monitor gadget die slechts ??n drive monitorred. Zo kun je voor elke drive een apparte instantie van deze gadget op uw bureaublad plaatsen. Ziet er ook beter uit zo.

Enfin genoeg gepraat, eventjes nog een opsomming geven van wat er allemaal in het pakketje zit en dan, downloaden maar !

Слово "орден" происходит от немецкого Orden или лат. ordo — ряд, порядок. Современные ордена исторически берут свое начало в средневековых духовно-рыцарских орденах. Первые такие ордена появились, начиная с конца раннего Средневековья, в период первых крестовых походов. Они объединяли рыцарей-монахов, и первоначально понятие "орден" означало группу лиц, связанных общим обетом и общей целью. К моменту начала Возрождения, большинство европейских монархов либо уже внедрили в государственную систему рыцарский орден, либо организовали новые ордена для награждения верных подданных и особенно военных офицеров. Многие современные европейские ордена являются прямыми продолжателями средневековых, как правило, рыцарских монархических орденов. Это правопреемственность помогает понять истоки и значение системы ордена как награды. В соответствии с этим различались и носимые знаки ордена. Знаки, которые мы сегодня называем орденами, первоначально были лишь символами принадлежности к ордену и служили отличием членов ордена по занимаемой ступени в иерархии. Знаком ордена зачастую становится вариация креста как символа христианской религии.

Так как ордена имели рыцарское происхождение, то, естественно, членом ордена мог стать только дворянин. В Европе до XIX века сохранялся запрет на награждение орденами простолюдинов. В 1802 Наполеон создал Орден Почётного легиона: им стали награждать вне зависимости от социального статуса лица, за храбрость в сражении или за 20 лет выдающейся службы. Этот орден до сих пор является высочайшей наградой Франции.

Так как старые системы орденов неизменно связанны с не демократичной элитарностью, то в странах, избравших не монархический путь развития, таких как СССР появился новый тип орденов с особой системой награждения и дизайна.
